To use Windows Server 2003, you will need to make sure your system meets the following minimum requirements:
Processor | Minimum: 133 Mhz for x86 Standard, Enterprise, and Web Edition. 400 MHz for x86 Datacenter Edition. 733 Mhz for Itanium-based computers. The recommended CPU speed is at least 550 MHz for all x86 editions. |
Memory | Minimum: 128 MB RAM for all editions except Datacenter which requires 512 MB RAM. Maximum: 2 GB for Web, 4 GB for Standard, 32 GB for Enterprise, or 64 GB for Datacenter. |
Disk Space Requirements | Minimum is 1.5 GB for all x86 editions, and 2 GB for Itanium-based computers. More disk space is required for systems with a lot of RAM to accommodate bigger system files such as the paging file. |

The 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2003 (Enterprise and Datacenter Edition) are only compatible with 64-bit Intel Itanium-based systems.
